Digital Music & Digital Imaging @ Woodvale
Bytes
Since 2002 Dream Ireland and the Bytes Project have been
working together within the framework of the Digital Step
programme.
The digital music and digital imaging programme was developed
by Dream Ireland to complement Bytes’ programme of activities
for young people. Bytes organise a variety of programmes for
unemployed 16-25 year olds aimed at enhancing their IT skills
as well as promoting their personal development and helping
them to progress into education, training or employment.
The training included a module on digital music and another
on digital imaging. The training was project-based and participants
produced a music track and a CD cover.
Dream Ireland used the new CEA Occupational Studies in Digital
Technology award to accredit the programme – the first
time the qualification has been delivered outside of the formal
education system in Northern Ireland.
